The Israeli Minister for foreign affair Tzipi Livni declared that the Israeli army can tell apart Hamas member and civil population perfectly. Therefore there will be no cease-fire.

When they heard of the petition for the depenalization of homosexuality, Vatican City declared its concern for those countries that do not recognize the union between people of the same gender: they would be pilloried and they would have to undergo heavy discriminations.

*there’s no translation, sorry. It’s like “raccomandato”, or “mafioso”, or “pizza”

Fabio Fazio apologizes for Marco Travaglio’s insults to Schifani, the new head of the Senate.
How many countries have tv hosts who don’t know the difference between “insult” and “fact”?
Schifani was in business with people who were later proved being mafiosi. That is not a n insult. That is a fact. The insult is that Schifani is now the second most important institution of the State. Oh, wait. Which State?
(Anyway I don’t want people to be angry at the David Letterman of the country in which Sandro Bondi is the minister of culture. He knows perfectly that apologogizing was the only way not to be kicked out, and no one wants Fabio Fazio to be kicked out from tv) (Primo Levi, with his “grey zone”, had got it all).
Resignations

The excuse to write this post is that I’ve waited for Alemanno to win in Rome, but the truth is that I made this decision a long time ago. I resign from being Italian. I can make it official only by writing this post, as I need my documents to migrate: I cannot burn them. So far I’m stateless. Then we’ll see. The problem with Italy isn’t corruption nor ignorance nor the late unification nor one man controlling 90% of information nor 50 years of Christian Democracy Party nor the cultural backlog of our left parties. The problem with Italy is the Italian people. Look around you: statistically speaking, wherever you are, one in ten voted for Lega Nord.
But don’t get paranoid about it: on monday the 14th night, while I was coming home from my friend Francesco’s after a night of heavy drinking, I found a note on my windshild. It was written in capital letters with a pencil: “DRIVE TOWARDS FREEDOM!!!!”. To the unknown poet, wherever you are, thank you so much for this unexpected glimpse of grace.

I know it sounds absurd to be in 2008 and still have to sign pro-choice petition on abortion. It is absurd even for a country that refers to Giuliano Ferrara as a smart man, instead of using the proper definition of the Zanichelli Dictionary: “whore with a moyth you can shit in”.

(there is always a reason if somebody’s mouth is full of shit)
(and let’s always remember that, as they used to say in more civil times, if the Pope had to abort, abortion would turn into a sacrament)

On February the 4th, 2008, Berlusconi’s mom died.
One of those people who, if God exited, would’ve been sterile.
But we want to have a racional and scientific approach to life, so questions stay open: in which part it is fault of this nice old woman and in which part it is fault of bad companies such as Craxi, Gelli and the highest level of Italian high finance?

The Freedom’s People Party is Berlusconi’s mint coke
November 19, 2007 at 4:08 pm ((anti)Sociallife)
Big news: Berlusconi has founded a new Party! Freedom’s people party for people who believe in freedom because they are part of people who popularly love freedom. He’s been obsessively repeating the same bullshit for 13 years now. He’s no more the new man coming to save us! But he’s smart, and he knows it. So he’s updating the brand: every industry that needs to renew its brand does it. You change the look, the slogan and a couple of details; but you leave unaltered the philosophy of the brand. This is marketing for dummies. A few years ago, not knowing how to catch the consumers’ attention anymore, the brand “coke” tried to launch the new mint coke: a total flop, the sign of an industry that was risking to reach the end….I’m rarely optimistic, but I have a good feeling about the success of this new Mediaset product.
PS: I googled “mint coke+Berlusconi” and that’s what I’ve found:
