Sometimes, there’s simply nothing else to do….and one day I will look back to these days and I will discover they were the healthiest of my life…but for now…let me just drown in the fog, please, would you, life?

Resignations

April 29, 2008 at 2:50 pm ((anti)Sociallife, Bits)

The excuse to write this post is that I’ve waited for Alemanno to win in Rome, but the truth is that I made this decision a long time ago. I resign from being Italian. I can make it official only by writing this post, as I need my documents to migrate: I cannot burn them. So far I’m stateless. Then we’ll see. The problem with Italy isn’t corruption nor ignorance nor the late unification nor one man controlling 90% of information nor 50 years of Christian Democracy Party nor the cultural backlog of our left parties. The problem with Italy is the Italian people. Look around you: statistically speaking, wherever you are, one in ten voted for Lega Nord.

But don’t get paranoid about it: on monday the 14th night, while I was coming home from my friend Francesco’s after a night of heavy drinking, I found a note on my windshild. It was written in capital letters with a pencil: “DRIVE TOWARDS FREEDOM!!!!”. To the unknown poet, wherever you are, thank you so much for this unexpected glimpse of grace.

How many times are they still going to rape Kurt, before we realize we took our dignity and we threw it in a dumpster?

Une chanson douce

Henri Salvador was the proof that the elixirs of youth are3: make love, laugh and listen to wonderful music. I hope one day I’ll become that young too.
